Anisana is actually a direct result of our choice we made in 2006 to give our farm, located in the picturesque Hoeke bij Damme, an extra cachet. Like many fellow farmers, we opted at the time to fully focus on the short chain. From the beginning, our goal was to bring agriculture closer to the consumer in a positive way. We therefore consciously chose an ice cream shop near the coast in order to reach the largest possible and diverse audience. Honest raw materials are a priority for us, but in the early years this was not so easy to find. For example, we went looking for ourselves and came into contact with various suppliers who have the same values as us. Suddenly you get a question from someone who also wants to start making ice cream and who wants help with preparing recipes and selecting the right raw materials. Based on our own experience, we try to help those people as best as possible."
